'Hearted Beauties' is what happened after I played with designing my own New York Beauty blocks in a heart shape. Why a heart shape? Because I thought it might be neat to see what they looked like. Of course those hearts needed a setting and a quilt pattern was born.
Hearted Beauties |
The Heart blocks are paper pieced, the rest of the quilt uses traditional piecing.
The quilt back shows how I quilted it. I quilted this with all Aurifil threads. It's a good thing I have a nice stash of them. |
A big thanks goes out to my testers. Wendy of Pieceful Thoughts of My Quilting Life, you can find her on @piecefulwendy and Lauren who posts on IG @letospassion.
Wendy's version |
Lauren's version I like how she has turned the hearts so they point into the centre |
You can purchase a copy from my Etsy shop. Hearted Beauties is on sale for the rest of April.
Your quilting is gorgeous, Cindy! I love the border on Lauren's version too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful take on a New York Beauty block. Congratulations on the release, Cindy!
ReplyDeleteWow, Cindy this is a showstopper!!! Design AND quilting! I love how your testers interpreted the pattern too. I'm with you on the NY Beauty; I have a few blocks made from over 10 years ago, percolating... Really should do it, like several other started or fabric purchased for, ones...
ReplyDeleteI love how you used the New York Beauty in the hearts. Such a unique design and you executed it beautifully! From the hearts, to the traditional piecing and the quilting (which is stunning!)...a gorgeous work of art!
ReplyDeleteWow...great pattern. Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteWow! Those hearts! That quilting! What a stunner!
