A big thank you to Kim Lapacek at Persimon Dreams for hosting this challenge for us each year. I participated in each of the 6 challenges and loved each one.
We were to incorporate some pieced flying geese. At least five. I had a plan but due to an ongoing elderly family problem I ran out of time. I started this piece at 6 AM this morning.

Sorry not many photos, no time for them.

This piece is 9'' x 8''. I used Aurifil Thread for quilting the straight lines and |Hobbs Thermore Batting.
You did great getting it finished up. Congratulations for participating in all six of the challenges, and I hope everything is okay with the elder in your family.
ReplyDeleteLove the soft watercolor feel!
ReplyDeleteSometimes those 'under the wire/under pressure' projects turn out so well. This would make a great little mug rug, perfect for that morning coffee maybe even outside with the weather being much more pleasant!
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely! So proud of you for "making it work" and i hope everything turns out ok with your family.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on completing your pretty Spring topper in time to join the final link party of Season 13! Hoping things work out with your family. I think the walking foot quilting give a hint about just how stressed you are by the whole thing, as I know how much you love FMQing!
