Thank you Carla of Creatin' in the Sticks for hosting this blog hop! I normally do not make News Year's resolutions, I don't want the stress of not accomplishing them hanging over me all year long. This year, as we all know has not been kind to anyone. So out with the old and in with the new kinder, gentler, I hope year ahead.
To avoid getting overwhelmed by my resolutions in 2021 my goals are simple, as the best resolutions are stress-free. I aim to not accomplish my goals in one month but over the course of the entire year.
My resolutions are as follows:
1. I hate, yes I know rather harsh but true none the less, UFO's. I have one hanging over my head, that has been there since my hubby passed away. I resolve to finish it up and list the pattern in my Etsy Shop.

Hi, I do hope you get your UFO's done. I too hate things hanging around and try very hard to complete the project before moving on but it does not always happen. I wish you a much better 2021. Hugs & Love, Susie xx
ReplyDeleteTwo really pretty UFOs. Maybe 2021 will be the year we all finish our unfinished quilts.
ReplyDeleteYour blue blocks look very pretty, I can't wait to see this UFO coming into a quilt. Your panel is beautiful too, it's something I never played with. Lovely photo by the way!
ReplyDeleteI have bought specialty fabrics from Spoonflower, but I like the idea of having a photo done and using as the medalion center.
ReplyDeleteI love your panel quilt idea!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful projects that I shall look forward to seeing finished. I have so many UFOs and hope to get a few of them done this year, One of them is a pretty panel to which I have been thinking of designing and adding borders one at a time like around robin. It is not at the top of to do list so I am not sure when I will be starting it so I shall be cheering from the sidelines while you work on yours. May 2021 be the year we get many of our goals accomplished ... one day, one stitch at a time. May you and yours be well and happy in the new year ... :) Pat
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have set very doable goals for the coming year. Hopfully you will share the finishes with us.
ReplyDelete2 very attainable goals, for sure. Your photo print is an excellent idea and I have a picture I need to do that with. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI don't like UFO's either, but I tend to have a few hanging around. Best of luck on your finishes; the quilts will be gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way about resolutions and "hate" not meeting them if I make them. Your goals are doable and look like great projects to finish. I love that photo panel...wow! It's gorgeous and will be fun to get made into something. Thank you for sharing your resolutions and hopefully, 2021 will be so much better for all of us. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteLike you, I don't make resolutions. When I have in the past, I always listed more than I could accomplish. Of course, I also allow myself forgiveness for not making it. Your two are very accomplishable. I do have a panel that I would like to make into a throw for my husband's sister and brother-in-law.
ReplyDeleteThat is so doable. Makes me wonder why I have such a long list!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful panel
ReplyDeleteGreat goals, and that is a beautiful panel! Good luck on making your goals, and Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteYou can do this!
ReplyDeleteOh Cindy, I understand your reluctance for setting goals and the added pressure. Don't we already have enough ongoing stress? This has been a difficult year for all of us - some more than others. I believe that your goals are achievable. I am rooting for you. Wishing you a Happy New Year 2021!!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your goals. Love the panel.
ReplyDeleteNice attainable goals. Have you seen all the new patterns out with panels so they aren't the same old boring quilts.
ReplyDeleteGood luck. It is a beautiful panel. I have done a couple of panel quilts this year. They are fun to do and often quick to complete. Well the two I did were quick.
ReplyDeleteOh those pesky UFOs. I wish the quilt fairy would just come in and finish them all for me😂. That panel you had printed is gorgeous. I can’t wait to see how you finish it. Happy New Year
ReplyDeleteBest wishes with your goals!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE the panel from a photo!!!
Happy Quilting! :-)
Nice job of keeping it simple and allowing yourself the grace to take the entire year, if need be. Best of luck!
ReplyDeleteLove that panel. It's a beautiful picture. I'm sure you will be able to keep to your resolutions this year!.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your goals, sometimes the smallest steps are what we need to get done before anything else. Good luck and happy new year.
ReplyDeleteGreat goals as they are attainable. Good luck finishing the UFO
ReplyDeleteMy sister and you are amazing - just a couple of UFOs! You can get them completed and into the finished pile...2021 will be the year.
ReplyDeleteThose are great goals. Nothing wrong with a small list. Good luck with finishing the pattern. Here's to a better year.
ReplyDeleteFirst, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss and understand how that could definitely take the want-to away. Secondly, Wow, only two UFO's? That's awesome, and such a nice pattern and panel to work on. I think your goals are very doable.
ReplyDeleteWell, do not ever poke around too much in my sewing room...you will see more than one UFO! I can't wait to see the new design; you have such great ones Cindy. As for the round robin, from what I saw when we did the round robin a few years back, you will have amazing ideas for the rounds. That is one gorgeous photo, and what a terrific idea. I basically did two round robins last year through Island Batik, so I'm round robin-ed out!
