A New Chapter

This is the hardest post I've ever written. I recently lost my hubby of 43 years. This whole Covid thing has made handling his loss harder.  At a time when family and friends are needed the most and even a hug, all where lacking it feels so unreal. It has been a time of mixed emotions. It feels like my life has  been turned upside down and focus has been a challenge. I wander aimlessly around the house. I look at my sewing machine and have had no real desire to sew.

I'm so very sorry for the loss of your husband, Cindy, such a shock. Grief is so personal and lonely a path, but to be even that much more alone because of the pandemic makes it extra hard. I hope the love and care of family and friends, even from a distance, can help ease the pain. One day, and you'll know when is right, quilting will help ease the pain as well.

Cindy, my heart breaks for you. Losing your soul mate unexpectedly, and especially at this time, makes it incredibly difficult. Always know that God is with you, giving you strength and love. Lean on those you feel close to and call out for support. Take your time to grieve and when you're ready, your sewing machine will be too!

If virtual hugs mean as much as real hugs...then consider yourself hugged. I'm so sorry for your pain. Take care of yourself. ❤❤

I'm so sorry, Cindy, that you have to go through this at a time when you need the strength of people around you. Feel free to reach out whenever you just need to talk, even if it's just by email. It's okay that you don't feel like sewing right now; it's all part of the grieving process. Your sewing joy will return, but in the meantime, do reach out to family and friends as much as you can during this time. Hugs.

I am so sorry for your loss. I know the current situation makes it a lot harder when your family isn’t there for you.
At least you can talk to them and video chat. Not the same as in person but it helps.
God bless.

I am so sorry, Cindy. Even in "normal" times this would be devastating and I cannot fathom how extra difficult covid is making everything. Sending you so much love. Please be gentle and take care. We'll be here whenever you need us or feel like sewing again.

I am so, so sorry. This is such a difficult time to have your husband die. I hope there is some ease in seeing people soon, so that you can gather and remember and grieve and find new ways of being. Blessings on you as you travel this journey of grief and know that your quilting sisters are here for you. I will think of you as I stitch this week, Cindy.

So sorry that you are having to face the loss of your dear husband in such difficult times. Be kind to yourself, keep in touch with friends and family - they'd surely want to hear your tears down the phone than not hear from you - and be blessed by their shared memories of your husband.

Cindy I am so sorry for your loss. Although it is far from the real thing I am sending you lots of big hugs and best wishes. I am holding you in my embrace tightly till you ask me to let go. This is a difficult time and I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. I promise there will come a time when the pain will subside and sweet memories will remain.
