Sunday Stash

I did a little retail therapy this week. It was good for me and a couple local quilt shops. A black and white quilt is in the making, more about that to come in a later post. A couple pink pieces made their way home, with four granddaughters one can never have too much pink.  It feels good to be doing a little bit of sewing even if it is slow sewing.

black and white fabrics
From left to right Maywood Studios Solitaire, Salt & Pepper by South Seas Imports, Maywood Studio Pearlessence, Kaufman's Quilters Linen, Salt & Pepper in white on black, and black Kona cotton. The pinks are on left a Kaufman and the other one I don't remember and the selvedge doesn't show the name.

It is also Thanksgiving weekend here. Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians!
Fall is definitely here as can be seen in these photos I took early this morning.

Happy Thanksgiving to you as well. I'm looking forward to seeing your black and white quilt. Love that pink on the left.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. I love the fabrics you've bought. I have started to get an urge to make a black and white quilt, maybe next year. I need to find the right pattern for it

We have two hydrangea trees out front, something that does not grow in Alberta, (same with Tulip trees) so I am just in love with them each year, and so intrigued by how they change to that beautiful dusky pink! We have a couple that decided to open as brand new white ones just a few days ago, looks rather funny. I love your black and white fabrics, and whoa, they look good with the two pinks! Happy Thanksgiving to you my Lake Erie friend :-)

A belated Happy Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving is one of my favorite times of the year, but alas I have to wait another month. Can't wait to see what you do with your pretty fabrics. Black, white and pink always make me smile. Hope you are feeling better.
